Getting your life together is hard. I can relate. Every time I think I'm getting there, an unexpected event happens and sets me back. Most of the time, it's not even my fault, so why do I feel guilty and embarrassed? 

Every person who wants to get their life together encounters the same struggles: lack of motivation, procrastination, feelings of uncertainty, and anxiety.

It all starts with a decision. First, you have to make up your mind that you are ready for a change and willing to go through it. If you can do that, you can succeed; if not, don't worry because I have other tips on getting things together. 

Step 1 isn't as complicated as it sounds – almost everyone has made at least one significant life decision, whether they realized it.
Maybe you decided to get married, buy a house, start a family or take another job. Perhaps you decided to move somewhere new or end an unhealthy relationship.

Whatever it was, chances are it was pretty stressful and challenging at first but got easier over time. So, of course, the same will be true of getting your life together! But, of course, deciding to get your life together is only half of what you need to do. 

Step 2: Do something about it: Once you've decided that getting your life together is something you want, stop talking about it and actually get started.

Don't wait until tomorrow or next week – just pick out some easy tasks today and work on them right away. And don't beat yourself up if you slip up once in a while – we all fall off track sometimes. Just remember that every step forward is progress!
